Many of our Tahiti Dance Fitness Students & Friends asked us for green smoothies recipes/ideas. It’s been years that we have been blending/juicing vegetables and fruits and include delicious green smoothies and juices into our daily diet routine. It’s amazing how this habit can improve your health! Green smoothies have lots of benefits, such as:

– Green smoothies are a great way to eat your veggies without even realizing it. Most people like fruits, but they have trouble getting their daily requirement of veggies. When you make a green smoothie, first the taste of the greens is hidden by the taste of the fruit (although when you are using spinach, you barely notice it), second you reach easily the daily amount of veggies needed per day.

– Green smoothies are low in calories but very filling. Because they contain high amounts of water and fiber, they’ll make you feel as if you just ate a full meal. If you’re trying to lose weight, green smoothies will help fight hunger and cravings while helping the pounds melt off easier.

– Green smoothies are easy to digest. Because they’re already blended and liquefied, smoothies are quicker to digest. After all, your body no longer needs to work so hard to “break down” the food in order to extract the nutrients.

– Green smoothies offer pure nutrition value. Plus, greens have an alkalizing effect on the body.

We will post time to time some ideas/recipes of greens smoothies with or without fruits. Here are some examples for you to try at home. They are amazingly delicious! Enjoy!

We use most of the time coconut water (for the lucky ones who can have the fresh ones, go ahead, it is sooo delicious) great for replenishing lost electrolytes, after your Tahiti Dance Fitness session!

Mango-Coconut Green smoothie:
I love mangoes! Always choose riped ones and not green as they are too acidic.
Make this green smoothie with fresh spinach, pieces of mangoes, 1 banana, coconut milk or water.

Tropical Green smoothie:

Blend together fresh spinach with 1 banana, passion fruit and pineapple and water. Enjoy!

Pina-colada and avocado smoothie:

Delicious creamy and refreshing smoothie with fresh spinach, coconut milk (for a more “milkshake” version) or coconut water, pineapple (fresh or frozen), 1 half avocado.

Mango-rita green smoothie:

Blend together fresh spinach, coconut water, 1 orange, mango and pineapple, then add 1/2 lime.

Blue-Berry Green smoothie:

For this Blue-berry smoothie, we will put together some Kale, almond milk for a change, blueberries (you can put any berries that you’d like actually), 1 banana, 1 handfull of raw almond
